Atmospheric Weather System (v2.0) - File Description  

A huge weather mod which has five times the number of weather conditions as the original! It also includes a seasonal weather system, improves night time and improves the water.

This newest version makes almost all sky textures into the developers custom-made ones, as well as changing other weather-related factors (see readme for more detail).

This is great to see in action and so well designed you'd think it's done by Bethesda themselves

1. Description


This is a very large weather addon for Oblivion. It has more than 5 times the weather types of standard oblvion.
It also adds a seasonal weather system and improves night time and the water.


2. Version History

V2.0 Major Major Update
Changed almost all the sky textures to ones I have made myself with my camera and photoshop.
Made the nights brighter and the light level dependent on the weather.
Fixed some water based issues.
Fixed some HDR based issues.
Tweaked most values for most weathers.
Further reduced blinding effect.

v1.90 Major Update
Fixed the painful glare totally.
Made the fog blend much much better.
Totally changed the fog during rain and storms to be more realistic.
More varience in clear day weather.
Taken out the night time sky textures to make the download size smaller.
Various texture tweaks to get everything to blend nicer.

v1.51 Update
Reduced the painful on the eyes blinding glowing people effect.
Made fog blend better.

v1.5 Update
Removed optional plugins as they are no longer needed.
Seasonal Weather has been fixed and re-enabled.
Loads of new cloud textures that look awesome.
Fixed a blank sky bug.
Tweaked the colors of all weather night and day.
Tweaked the water so it appears more realistic.
Tweaked night and day timing so night and day are longer,
this means the transitions between them are now half that of them before.
Other awesomeness you can find by playing the mod yourself :D

v1.3 Update
Added Brighter Nights and NE colors plugins to main package.
Fixed the normal weather in oblivion plane bug,
Added new sunrises and sunsets,
Various Color tweaks,
More Cloud and texture tweaks,
Seasonal script removed as it was the cause for the obliv bug,
A few other misc bug fixes.

v1.2 Update
New mist effects added,
New clear day clouds added,
Various Bug fixes,
Various tweaks and additions.

v1.01 Small Update
Mainly bug fixes:
Removed the green.
Reduced the wind and cloud movement speed.
Tweak some daylight colors.

v1.0 Full Release
Change Log:
Sky/horizon blends are better.
Fog looks better.
Lots of cloud and sky texture tweaks.
No more green clouds.
Night sky texture changes.
General Fixes.

v0.9 Initial BETA release


3. Installation / Playing the Plugin


Extract everything to the Oblivion Directory and select the mod from the mod launcher.
To uninstall go inside a building and save, then deactivate the mod and delete the .esm
if you want. Then reload your game and save again and everything should be fine and dandy.


4. Save Games


This will in no way effect your save games. And games should not become relient on this mod.


5. Known Issues


This will conflict with any other weather and water mods. It does not conflict with OOO in any way.
It is compatable with the parts of NE that are not weather or water. (Habitat and Vegetation)

while the additional weather is amasing, i personally find the brighter nights horrible, they break the added realism the rest of the addon brings..

fortunatly its not hard to edit the night values to make them really dark again,
6/10 - 9/10 once i re-darked my nights smile

This adds more realisim, yet it does affect FPS a bit when in use. if you have a peice of junk for a PC that can barely run Oblivion at lowest GFX settings, do NOT use this, it will make oblivion run at around 10 FPS or so

Nice MOD otherwise, onle prob for me is the daytime at around 1:00 PM the light is too bright, ah well I'm usually only out at night Devil!

OMG LOOKS COOL, D/L NOW but is it animated quality or just picture from outside pasted into meshes?
