Be drunk, My Friend (0.8 BETA) - File Description

This mod attempts to add a bit of realism. From now on, when your character will drink skooma, it will be forced into bullet-time, also known as slow-motion. It will be also followed by visual and audio effects. This is an early beta, and will not show the quality of the final release.

Be drunk, my friend 0.8 mod for TES4:Oblivion

By: ExhausteD

Extract the Archive into your OblivionData folder,
Run Oblivion Launcher and check "be drunk, my friend.esp" in the list.
Recommended to use with HitShaderReplacement made by legendary Timeslip.

This mod allows player to get drunk.
This will be along with visual and audio effects.
If you will drink Skooma, you will enter bullet time (aka slow-mo) for short period of time.
This will allow players to easily dodge enemy attacks and position theirs.

None found.

0.8 - Initial release

(Partially used Kai Horiro's bullet time code and also used "Exited" sound from Deadly Reflex made by Skycaptain)

For one of the upcoming releases, I will add a possibility to be addicted by skooma or alchohol.

Oblivion Bullet Time Mod v0.43
for TES IV: Oblivion

By: Kai Hohiro

VERY IMPORTANT: This Mod requires Oblivion Script Extender v0008 or later.
OBSE can be downloaded at http://obse.silverlock.org/

VERY VERY IMPORTANT: Do not quit the game while you are in Bullet Time. Doing that will
cause you to be stuck in Bullet Time until you recast the spell.
Yes simply recasting the spell will fix this, so it's nothing horrible.

What's new in version 0.43?

- Tweaked Bullet Time settings
- Tweaked visuals when entering Bullet Time and added a new custom sound
- Reduced boost in Players speed while in Bullet Time
- Added a seperate version that sets entering Bullet Time to the key "G" and leaving Bullet Time to "H"(Please read more below)

Extract the Archive into your OblivionData folder

Version 0.43 features two *.esps, ACTIVATE ONLY ONE!

Bullettimemod.esp is the classic version that adds a book into your inventory that gives the player the spell Focus when read.

BullettimemodSetkey.esp binds the ability to enter Focus to the key "G". To leave Focus you need to press "H". This is automatic and you dont receive the book of Focus anymore, but it takes a few seconds to initialize the script after you load the game(about 1-10 seconds depending on system). Furthermore there is no spellcasting animation anymore.

2. Mod Description

The mod is still in early development. This version is an absolute barebones version that
only adds the ability to go into Focus (aka Bullet Time) along with Visual and Audio effects.

a) Bullettimemod.esp
When you load your game for the first time with this mod the Book of Focus will be added into
your inventory. Read it and you will gain the ability to Focus. You can find it in your spell book under lesser powers. Focus can be toggled in and out by simply recasting the spell now.

b) BullettimemodSetkey.esp
Entering Focus is automatically set to the key G, leaving Focus is set to key H.

During Focus the player and the world will move much slower, allowing the player
to easily dodge missile and melee attacks, while giving him a much greater precision
for his own attacks.

Additionally it adds visual and audio effects while in Focus.

3. Conflicts

None known and highly unlikely that there will be any.

4. Version History

0.43 Added new sound on gaining Focus, reduced speed boost, tweaked visuals, tweaked Bullet Time, added a hotkey version

0.4 Made Focus togglable and added a speed boost to the player during its duration

0.3 Tweaked effects

0.2 Added visual and sound effects

5. Credits

They provided awesome input that was invaluable for tweaking the mod.

My Oblivion isn't working right now for some reason so I can't install. Screens look cool though...could be a funny mod to use smile You know....you should take your bullet-time technology and apply it to combat....something like the "kill slow time" mutator for Unreal3. Just an idea.

sorry for the double post.....this tech. also has some really good potential for time-altering type spells (if any of you have played Fable than you should know what I'm talking about)

You can simply drink skooma in combat for slow-mo battles smile
Also, skooma boosts your speed while in slow-motion. Beer, ale and mead boost strength while drain intelligence. So there's use for these "potions" in combat.

You mean, slow-mo for alchohol? Well it already makes litttle slowdown (0.9 Time multiplier). Skooma makes 0.2500 if I remember right.

Guys, I started a new project. Althought that's not meaning that I will abandon THIS. I will just focus less time on it. The new project is an attempt to recreate Doom 2 levels and fit them in Oblivion (demons are most likely daedra). It will feature old-school RPG feel and about 2-5 gameplay hours.
And, the main thing and 'candy' of my mods - small size. It will feature minimal models and textures or won't feature them at all. We are not so sure right now.
I almost completed first and last levels. I will post screenshots on forums in month or so, (there's a LOT of mapping work + writing books + scripting + placing items and etc.) so stay tuned. Ah yes, the main thing: the project is called "Hell On Earth".
