Castle Highrock (1.0) - File Description

Description:
This plugin adds a buyable Castle and a small village a few steps west of Bruma.
-Talk to Thronar to buy the castle (he can be found inside the "mainhall" or the "main-tower-chapel" of the castle)

Features:
*********
-buyable castle (containing 14 high detailed interior cells: Lord quarter, Lord quarter bath, Wintergarden, treasury, commoner quarters, kitchen, main hall, basement, main-tower-chapel, guest quarters, south-east-tower, east-gate-tower, west-gate tower, dungeon)
-ingredient sorter (can be found inside the "wintergarden" of the castle) which will collect all your ingredients out of your inventory as soon as you activate the crystall standing on the desk (the ingredients will be put in the barrel below it)
-static (master) alchemy apparati (can be found inside the "wintergarden" of the castle; the activator apparati act just like the spellmaking and enchanting altars. Simply activate them. A set of master apparati will be added to your inventory and you will be informed that an alchemical experiment has begun as the alchemy window appears. Closing the alchemy window removes the apparati from the players inventory until he reactivates the static apparati.)
-teleport-home-spell (scroll can be found inside the "lord quarter" on a desk; your character will learn this spell by reading the scroll)
-small village (shop, 2 houses, priory, chapel, stable)
-30 NPCs (including a guard patrol controlling every day the way from "Highrock" to "Bruma"; b.t.w. the guards will respawn)
-all needed distant-LOD-files (the castle and the village will be visible in far distance)
(btw. all your loot will be save inside any container of the castle (but not the ones out of the village!) (although they may contain some clutter) beside the one named "Castle Highrock Servant Food Cupboard" ("Castle Highrock Servant Food Cupboard" is the only respawning container (needed to avoid strange behavior of the NPCs as soon as they may run out of food) which can also be recognized by their shown "foreign" ownership)

Centurion´s Castle Highrock
***************************

A plugin for "The Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion"
Created with US-version 1.1.511 (latest patch for Oblivion required!)

Notes:
-The dialogue "Castle Highrock" of the NPC Thronar uses "silent" mp3-files (there is no voice-acting)
-Merchant, alchemist and smith offer their services inside the "Trade Post" from 08:00 am to 18:00 pm; the mage offers recharging of enchanted weapons and training from 08:00 am to 18:00 pm inside the castle´s main-hall; a priest sells some spells from 07:00 to 18:00 inside the castle´s chapel (not inside the chapel down by the village!)
-There aren´t any oversized interior cells; the whole castle has been build within it´s exterior walls. And I wished to show this also in the in-game-map; the player should always be able to see where he is just standing in the castle. So if you notice that the in-game-map of any interior cell of the castle looks very similar to the exterior that´s not a bug but a feature of that plugin.
-If you can´t afford the castle at once and you are in need for a place to sleep, have a look inside the priory. There is always a free bed available.

Installation:
*************
-Unzip "Castle_Highrock.7z" anywhere you wish,
-copy all unzipped files out of "Castle_Highrock.7z" ("Castle_Highrock.esp" plus all directories!) into your "Oblivion\Data\" directory.
-When you run Oblivion, click on Data Files, then check off "Castle_Highrock.esp" and run the game.

Uninstallation:
***************
First step:
When you run Oblivion, click on Data Files, then uncheck "Castle_Highrock.esp".

Second step:
Due the "Distant-LOD-files" you must also delet following files in following directory (or the distant objects will stay visible in the game showing "Castle Highrock" in far distance although there isn´t anymore a Castle):

Directory: "...Oblivion\Data\DistantLOD\"
Files:
"Tamriel_0_33.lod", "Tamriel_0_34.lod", "Tamriel_0_35.lod", "Tamriel_1_34.lod","Tamriel_1_35.lod", "Tamriel_2_35.lod", "Tamriel_-1_33.lod", "Tamriel_-1_34.lod","Tamriel_-1_35.lod",

Credits:
********
I added a directory to the files called "Readmes_of_used_mods_in_Castle_Highrock" which contains all readmes of the used models/mods in "Castle Highrock". If you wish to use some of the models in your own plug-in you should have a look into it. In no special order I used the work of the following authors in Castle Dunkerlore:

PS33:
-scripts for the teleportation spell and the ingredient sorter

Wormheart:
-"Working Gates"

Phoenix:
-"2 fireplaces"

Shawn Dworshak a.k.a. Academician Nwahs
-"Oblivion Static Alchemy Mod"

Xiamara:
-"Sofa and Chair Set 1"

Texian:
-"Static Water Meshes"

If you find any bugs or having problems with this plugin "pm" me at the elderscrolls-forum or send me an e-mail (UdoSpringalla@AOL.com) so that I can try to fix them.

This is reaaaally pretty!
Only problem I have it is the ingredient sorter. That, combined with the hunger mod that I like ALOT more than this, will cause HOURS UPON END of frustration grabbing the ingredients back.
Also, I don't like the teleportation SPELLS people keep adding. We have map travel for that reason; I'm happy...
And no voice acting causes NPCs' text of what they're saying to go by in 2-3 seconds, making it so I have to press "esc" every few seconds so I can even read what they're saying. Also, often the menu that esc brings up causes me to not be able to read anything anyways... There's the possibility it can be fixed, maybe, but so far I've never seen anyone bother to, so I don't bother to hit "download" anymore if it's a quest with new dialogue but no voice acting...

This is lovely, but I am not downloading it.
Sorry if I seem rude or something, but I am simply pointing out all the problems with it that I personally have. I am not saying it's horrible or anything.

The ingredient sorter is bothering you? You donīt need a teleportation spell?
The solution is simple. Just donīt use them! There is noone "inside" the plugin who may force you to use these features.
You canīt read the text without voice-acting added?
Sorry thatīs not true! To avoid that the text will only be shown for a short time "Castle Highrock" uses silent-mp3-files. I assure you, there is plenty of time to read the few senctences which come with that plugin.

You can find the "Main Hall" of that castle easy by entering it through the main gate. As soon as you are standing inside the "Main Hall keep" your nose to the west and you will see a door leading to the "Main Tower Chapel".
The man who sells the castle (Thronar) can only be found within these two cells and nowhere else. I hope you can find him now.

An evil themed castle?
Sorry, up to know I didnīt think off to create one. But who knows what the future brings?
At least I can tell you that there should be soon available a major updated and relocated version of Castle Domrose.

I just got this mod installed and I have to say that I love it. It is incredibly beautiful and immersive. It's perfect for a female player, as there is lots of lace hangings and flowers in the Lord Quarters (which I like to call the Lady's Quarters). You even remembered to add butterflies in the wintergarden. There's so much stuff, I'm still exploring! This is definitely one of my favourite homes.
