Dwarves (v1.0) - File Description  

Ok this mod adds the long extinct dwarves race to the game, yes it is playable obviously. It also adds a small tent city outside of the imperial city. It gives two options with or without a beard.
WARNING: This mod requires the Nords with Beard mod, but it is included in the download... which is very convient! Rock

I think that this is worth a download! Two Thumbs Up!

Dwarves v1.0 Readme

It was once believed that the Dwemer race went extinct sever thousand years ago. Not all Dwarves perished ; Some Dwarves managed to escape. They fled to the Jeral Mountains where they captured a grand Aleyed city. The Dwemer refugees lived in peace for many years. Their city was recently over run by Necromancers and the Undead. The few survivors of the attack relocated to a small encampment just outside the Imperial City.


This mod adds the Dwarven race as a playable race. They are avalable in two varities with and without beards. Their stats are as follows:

Starting Base Attributes Starting Skill Bonus
Strength = 55 Armorer = 5
Intelligence = 35 Blunt = 10
Willpower = 30 Heavy Armor = 10
Agility = 40 Block = 5
Speed = 30 Security = 5
Endurance = 50 ________________
Luck = 50 Total=40
Personality = 30

This mod uses tnilc's Nords With Beards mod (included) as a base. It also includes a small setlement with 9 dwarves. They each have their own tent and simple AI. Also there is a brewery with a brewmaster to sell his beer. In the king's tent you will find two huge chest with 10,000 gold coins each; Steal it if you dare.

See the screenshots for the exact location.


Extract all files to your oblivion data directory, then mover the Dwarves v1.0 file to the data folder. Extract Nords with Beard.zip (if necessary).

Bugs and Gliches
none that i can think of

no special permission is need to use this mod.

madmole (Joel Huenink) for creation of the beard meshes and textures.

Wow! This is a lot better than the dwarf mod I have cool

I wish it was smaller though; I can't dl anything bigger than 5 or 6 Megabytes Cry

I forgot to mention that there are no quest or dialog. I plan to add a few quest and some dialog in future versions.

Lol the one next to Brown beard looks like gimlistick out tongue. It does looks way better then the other dwarf mods I've seen. nice work.

and they were an Elven race. hence the "MER" on the end of the name.

like dunMER, altMER and valMER its the same with dweMER.

sorry, i dont liek it when people call them dwarves... ive spent the last two days telling my friends that theyre elves, not dwarves. >_<

BTW the appropriate term for them is "Deep Elves" (theyre called that in TES3 btw)

and im not sure why Bethesda chose to call the stuff "Dwarven" in this tes game either.

But i might DL for the fact that theyre a small race stick out tongue

But i would like to see some proper (DECENT) dwemer race mods out there. (Havent checked yet, ive had oblivion since it came out and ive only just managed to get uit to run with my new graphics card xD morrowind has yet to be played on the new card :/ )

this is a good mod not great but good i give it a 8/10 for a good idea

Oh and this is a bit off topic but can someone Email me some instructions on using TES Construction Set (Oblivion) i would like to make my own mod.
