Fast Horses (v0.3) - File Description  


Description:
This mod makes the purchasable horses, "My Bay Horse" for instance, increase speed after running some time.
So the longer you ride the horse, the faster it will run. Up to a certain degree of course.
This should encourage players to go out and explore the wilderness instead of just using FastTravel.
When you dismount the horse, it will also regenerate a small amount of health.
This way you can sometimes prevent it from dying from big jumps by letting it rest from time to time.

FastHorse v03 - An Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion mod for horse racers...

Installation
------------
1) Unzip the "FastHorse v03.esp" file to your Oblivion/Data folder.
2) Start the Oblivion Launcher and click on "Data Files".
3) Click the "FastHorse v03.esp" file to enable the mod and click "OK".
4) Start Oblivion as normal by clicking "Play".

Now, everytime you play Oblivion, the mod will be loaded. Use the same method to disable the mod again.


Removal
-------
To remove the mod, go to your Oblivion/Data folder and delete the "FastHorse v02.esp" file.

The horse gallop is made up of 10 stages, each with a different speed.
The first five are where the horse picks up speed, and the last five are where it slows down again.
The fifth stage is maintained longer than the others, directly tied to each horse's Endurance skill.

Based off the original FastHorse mod by pslydel, so most credit should go to him.
Remember, this mod is a beta version, so bugs/crashes CAN occur. Save often.

Don't listen to him. Just because a mod doesn't add new weapons or armor doesn't make it bad. 8/10

This is best combined with the mod that restricts you from fast traveling. Now the horses will actually get you somewhere unlike before. Good going man for making this MoD. Also ignore the oafish comment made by Franke

It's maybe B-O-ring but still a good mod and I know a good
idea for the next upgrade that ya can shoot whit arrow and bow on the horse is that not a good idea big grin

I hate fast travel, ruined the adventure of the game, but still even the black horse can feel slow at times, but not any more, good job. I think you should also include the ability to use your wepons on your horse , just like #6 said. 8/10

I ran from place to place to get my speed and athletics up. Once you do, you no longer need a horse. Run and jump when exploring. The Ninroot quest is a good way to train.

Ok then all we need now is a spear/ lance mod a mod that lets you use weapons on a horse ( u can obviously guess where i'm goin now) and we could have epic horse battles.
