Hunter's Performance Review (1.1) - File Description

Description:
This mod, while a little bit pointless in nature, is the kind of thing a wish every game had! A counter for how many enemies you've killed!

While Oblivion comes with a creatures killed list, this mod actually tells you how many of each kind have died.

It counts creatures killed by you, your companions, and the creatures killed by other NPCs and creatures while you were in the cell.

Unfortunately, it only works on default Oblivion creatures, so the creatures added by mods aren't counted.

Still it's a nifty utility, and if you play default Oblivion, I'd say it's worth a download!

The only problem is that it tacked on a couple monster kills that I didn't kill.

all the same, 10/10 Good Job,

BadHairDay -
That's possible to happen because this mod actually doesn't count your kills only. In fact it counts how many times particular creature was killed from the beginning of the game either by your hand or any other NPC or creature or even by accident (e.g. after fall from the ledge).
Let's say you are walking some road through the forest and at nearby ruins there's a fight - necromancer vs bear. Necromancer wins and bear is dead - bear's death counter increases by one then and you don't even have to be a witness of that battle. It doesn't matter whether you saw it or not. Lucky the action takes place only in all loaded cells surrounding your character and not in the entire area of the game ;]
I know that those counters are not perfectly accurate but that's how they work originally and are hard-coded this way, so fixes are not quite possible here. This mod only sums all those values.
Possibly the only way to think about better implementation of this is OBSE but I never tried to use it for scripting.

Anyway, If you killed few hundreds of particular kind of creature then a few points more don't really matter I think, you are still an efficient serial-killer ;]
