Lore Creature Expansion (1.3v) - File Description  


Description:
v1.3
-Giant spider and guar quest added at the estate due north of Cheydinhall.
-Guar mount added (received as a reward). Instructions below for customizing.
-LCE Extras: 4 new Giant Spider variation skins
-LCE Extras: Tutorial - How To Add Custom Creature
-Werecroc heal bug fixed (repeated casting)
-Golden Saints now carry a bow standard to prevent occasionally appearing unarmed.


This mod adds a myriad of new creatures based off of those previously seen in the other Elder Scrolls games or mentioned within the lore itself. In the main version of the mod, most Daedra and regular creatures will spawn when you obtain a certain level (in the "vanilla" style). However, a few of the creatures have specially hand-crafted encounters which will take you through many unique experiences, from a long lost Dwemer ruin, through the den of a massive Frost Giant, and into the strange existence of a Were-crocodile! After weeks of toil, the mod is finally complete in its first incarnation, and we are proud to present to you a collection of creatures never before seen in TESIV: Oblivion, including the first completely custom modeled and rigged creatures to be modded into the game.

you could, you would just have 2 open/extract the file but only save 1 of the files which would be the guar. big grin very nice lookin mod btw, gd job

Great! I saw that it doesn't conflict anymore with the Kiyoshi'sNewVampires mod...
You don't mention anything in the readme,but one way or another,you fix it - thanx smile

So if I just extract it into my data folder and tell it to overwrite the files from the last version, it should work fine? ;x

yes krapehtta, it would be a pretty sorry update is if wouldnt overwrite and update existing stuff wink

to the first poster, if you want a cut down version of the mod your gonna have to cut it down yourself, i cannot relz a hundred seperate versions including only one or a couple creatures here and there. it would become a nightmare to update.

does kiyoshi's vampire mod alter the level lists? if so that could have been your previous conflict. my first version didnt have the level list data completely snipped out of the LCE-addon.esp version so it was still possible to conflict. all never versions since then have been working properly.

oh and one update listed is not quite in affect correctly. the werecrocs will still repeated cast spells even though I thought the problem had been resolved. If worse comes to worse ill just strip their spells off of them completely to resolve this issue next version

yes there is a second .esp made for the sole purpose of keeping it compatible with MMM, OOO, Fran's mod, etc.

The read me explain ins more detail.

this is really good! I always wanted guars as mounts in morrowind, unfortunatly there wasnt mounts in morrowind.

ya know, ever since Oblivion came out I've been kinda down about the background, if you look back at Morrowind it was filled with mysical places such as the buildings and how they looked nothing like a human would build, the creatures were new and exciting to discover as you moved up in level, like the hug creature they put in in Tribunal...it was just awesome because it added that "what am I going to find now" sense to the game. The caves of morrowind were filled with multi-story bridges that crossed into different rooms where bandits hide treasures. but in oblivion you loose that effect, I've yet to see a cave with slaves inside that houses a multistory bandit hideout =/ all the caves are just filled with your regular fog, dogs, bandits, and rats. But now this was released, which brought back some of those old characters, and I was playing the game last night and I must say, those spiders are impressive. Nice work. If you can do this of job on bringing those creatures back, maybe you could possibly work on getting the rest of them back? that would improve the game by so much in my mind because of the lack of new and exciting creatures in Oblivion. Once again, nice work mate =)

wiplashwang, could you expand apon your comment about compatiblity...what doesnt work with it?

this is the second mod ive worked with that's had problems with that mod, i doubts it compatiblity and more then likely a problem that stems from the MC mod, the author clearly states in his own description/read me that his mod had some problems with areas he accidently altered (aka as a dirty mod).

Oblivion would not load into the main menu with MC_staff_pack enabled (It crashed each time) and when I turned MC_staff_pack off I could get in to the main menu but not into my character. madconfusedCry

sounds like the exact same problem Myths and Legends v2 had with MC's mod. even the conflict reporter couldnt find an issue between MaL and it and i bet it similar with LCE. *sigh* I think its gonna come down to an either or without a good conflict report.

if you can, please send any conflict reports between LCE and this mod to my email at gundamx9740@hotmail.com. Id appreciate it!

On a more positive note, MMM (martigen's monster mod) now makes up the "loss" the LCE-addon.esp had with the missing random spawning creatures. MMM v1.6 which way just released today now adds the missing creatures so if you use the mod or have been holding of feel free to go get it now smile

have this with MMM 1.6 and Francesco's and boy does Oblivion now ROCK! Met my first hunger on a foggy road after killing a couple of bandits, thought the fight was over, turned to my horse and there was the hunger jumping at me - nearly wet my pants! And if you have the above mods, look forward to tree spiders, which I have not seen yet, but I sure do look up more often!

You can download WinRar. Just google it: "Download WinRar for Windows Free" It should work. I can't think of any particular site though.


Also, I wanted to ask the creator of this mod how he makes the camera look at the werecroc when the player is a werecroc. Please help! I want to turn the player into a fish or something, and I need to know how you did this. Please help! Please help! Please help! Please help! Please help! Resistance is Futile! Oops... my voice circuits are looping... bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt. I think I need a Hmmm Donut!.

Do you just run in to hungers, werecrocs ,golden saints and gargoyles or is there something I'm missing. And are the hungers and golden saints the ones that eventually led to the hungers and golden saints in shivering isles?

i want to download the were-croc part and i saw this was for a pc but can i put this on a flash drive and use it on my playstation 3?
