The Description says it all... No one likes fast travel, but we all use it... I dont know if I should download this or now........ hmmmmm.... maybe someone should make it so it cost a fat sack of gold to use fast travel? thatd seem more balancing. kinda like the silt strider in Morrowind...

Ummmm... why? Fast travel is handy as hell, I would hate it to have to walk all over the place. That is one of the things that bugged me about Morrowind, except for Stilt Striders.

Guys, you're talking about a game where goblins at tack people and monsters from beyond a portal summon fire and destroy cities that are populated by cat-people, elved, and humans. With all this in mind, you think FAST TRAVEL is what makes this game unrealistic?

haha hes got a point

pretty funny when u think about it because people usually overlook that and talk about the actual gameplay when it comes to "realism"

i personally like a mix of realism with fun.....

cant have 1 without the other wink

I think most people would feel better about using fast travel if there was a better mechanism to explain it from the stand-point of role playing. For instance, although it does subtract the time necessary for travel, you don't receive the skill increases of facing monsters on the way, which is both a disadvantage of fast travel and unrealistic to the RPG elements. If you were using a boat or something it would make sense that you shouldn't receive stat increases. I think receiving them would of course be cheating anyway, but that's just why I don't use fast travel. Besides, I still enjoy taking in the sights and finding new caves and adventures on the way.

i think oblivion needs more water and no fast travel but some kind of franchise flying monsters or some kind of transport that u pay money for and have to go to the place to get the flight path so u dont become a shadow steal tons of money and get to all the cities at lvl 1 which is why i hate shadow it makes it to easy to steal things i got imperial legion helmet at lvl 1 lol

All Fast Travel is, is the leg work without the time spent, and if you hate Fast Travel then just run from town to town, why some one would hate fast travel is beyond me, but I wish they had it in Marrowind... it was a pain in the **** to trek across the rough terrian near red Mt. This Mod is lame... for lack of better word. Two Thumbs Down! Two Thumbs Down! Two Thumbs Down!

Don't get me wrong... sometimes I like to run from Anvil to Skingrad... Etc... but there are some quests it is just annoying... such as Allies for Bruma... where you gotta go everywhere... why would you want to run from cheydinhal to Anvil, not to mention several NPCs could die in that time period. Fast Travel is a blessing, for when you just want to get througha quest or get place to place without spending thirty-mins running from one side of Cyrodil to the other side.

How is fast travel unrealistic? When you use fast travel it still takes up time from the game, if you are at the Imperial city and you fast travel to some other place it can take a couple of game hours. When you fast travel you just don't see the time that passes, but it still passes, it's like pushing the fast forward button on a movie.
