Oblivion Collectible Cards (1.32b) - File Description

Description:
Do you like collecting stuff? If so, this mod may be just the one for you. It adds collectible cards which are hidden all over Cyrodiil (230 cards in 1.3). You can't do anything with them, as they are clutter, it's just a thing you can collect, display those rare ones in your house or just sell them - some of them are pretty expensive. You can find complete list of cards in the archive.

There are five categories of cards: NPCs, Creatures, Daedra (always comes with either NPC or Creature), Weapons & Armor and Buildings. Mostly the names talk for themselves, just a note about Buildings - this category covers everything from cities, wayshrines, palaces to statues, forts and so on. Note that I've added stuff from Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, but you don't need any of those for this to work.

The cards also have marks that determine how rare they actually are. There is a symbol of Septim coin in the upper right corner of each card - 1 coin is for common cards, 2 coins are for unusual cards and 3 coins mark rare cards. Those really rare (and also very difficult to find) have special shiny surface - see screenshots.

And where to look for them? They can be anywhere. You can find the rare ones in wilderness, but I've also put common ones into chests as random loot and some bandits carry them as well. I didn't put a single one in quest related places - like Sancre Tor, Camoran's paradise and so on. You also won't find any in Oblivion gates. That's because i wanted players who have already finished the main quest to have a chance to as many cards as possible.

If you want a few cards to start with, go to Grayrock Cave. There's a "surprise" waiting for you.

OBLIVION COLLECTIBLE CARDS v1.32b

VIEWING THE CARDS
**************************

When you find a card on the ground or drop it out of your inventory and then attempt to pick it up, a clutter item called "DROP ME" will be added to your inventory. Drop it anywhere while standing still (drop it using SHIFT + left click just to be sure, otherwise some bugs may occur), the script will remember your character's height. Now you are able to view any card by picking it up from the ground - a menu will pop up, offering two choices: PICK UP and VIEW AND THEN PICK UP. Choosing PICK UP will simply add that card into your inventory. If you choose the second option, an animation loop will start and you'll be able to look at your card as long as you want (pause animation by pressing ~ key if you need to). You can cancel viewing anytime by pressing "Toggle sneak mode" key or looking straight up or down.

Watch this video to see the whole thing in action:

NOTE: You can't view cards when you're in combat, underwater and while sitting or sneaking.

NEW FACTION AND QUESTLINE
*********************************

The Collectors of Cyrodiil - new faction for all those who take collecting seriously. If you want to join the faction, speak with its leader, a Bosmer named Orenthil, who lives in Chorrol - ask people there to find him. You will encounter other collectors on you travels, but Orenthil is the most important - he gives you quests (you can advance in ranks), sells cards and can even buy specific rare cards for their actual price. All dialogue lines are voiced (more than 500 in v1.31).

WARNING
************

Version 1.2 and later will most likely conflict with Better Cities and/or Open Cities, as it adds new houses in Chorrol and Cheydinhal. If you use these mods, please download an older version (1.12).
