Description:
ABOUT: The Undernethe is a wide-scale mod project which adds a world far beneath Tamriel. The world is a beautifully cultured and dark place, inhabited by strange monsters and tyrannical governments.

Currently, our team is made up of a handful of skilled individuals, so we need volunteers like you to help us out. Writers, artists, modders, modellers, texturers, scripters and... just about anyone with good ideas. Visit our forums at http://underdarkproject.easyphpbb.com/index.php

DESCRIPTION: This is a prototype of the armour which will be carried by the Nethevir guard. Note that this is not the final version, and that in the full release we will have unique meshes. The armour is hidden in a cave close to Leyawiin, which is filled with vampire defenders.

The Nethevir Guard are an ancient order, sworn to guard the white city from crime, poverty and monsters. Owned by the Chapels, they are shrouded in religious superstitions and sacred traditions which shape the rigid hierarchy and ritualistic forms of punishment. Their armour is crafted from glittering Welkynd, Varla and Dark Iron, and designed to be light for maximum mobility.

Now, the guard would be controlled by the ruling council, who have gradually removed the priesthood from power. Carefully placed officers have been instated as the guard captains, who sit as mere puppets to the council’s will. Rumour has it that the guard is planning a revolt to reinstate the old ways and regain the pride of Nethevir’s military. Perhaps a skilled adventurer could point them in the right direction...

INSTALLATION: Extract in Oblivion/Data, and enable “Undernethe Guard Armour.esp” in the Oblivion launcher.

SCIENCE: Too much to write here… contact us for a full tutorial.

FUTURE: More pre-releases, and ultimately the final mod. Expect bats to come soon!

ISSUES: None that I have seen.

CONFLICTS: Should be fully compatible with all your favourite mods.

The armor looks like the color toning varies, which doesnt make it look too good. but i mean its only a proto' so i cant complain. still it has the potential to be real good.

The real thing is almost finished. It looks beautiful and includes some awesome effects courtesy of Sheogorath's ingenious scripting and some fantastic modelling and texturing.

I'm sorry, there IS an issue in this mod, not a large one, but I put the cave outside cyrodiil's borders and... you can't really get to it unless you have somthing that removes the borders.
Sorry for the issue but, a quick fix is downloading Wicker Wolf's Advanced Tweaks from this site.

Yes remmber that this is only a prototype armor and that it will be more unique in the full mod. (including some awsome textures an effects by sheogorath)

Please keep in mind that this is a prototype, the finished version has new meshes and the colors are much more balanced with detailed textures.
But I'm sorry you feel such a strong hate towards these textures smile

I hate to say it, but all you've done is taken some diferent pieces of armor and inverted the colors. Also, since some of those pieces are from the Shivering Isles, there might be copyright isssues there, too, unless the plugin requires SI. If you want a good armor set, do the tesxtures yourself, rather than just inverting Bethesdas. Not only will it look better, you'll be able to get closer to what is likely the look you were intending to achieve. There are plenty of tutorials available on the subject. Good luck.

We don't need tutorials. The REAL guard armor has completely new meshes with nethemer designs on it, and your wrong about just inverting the colors, that inverted shade of blue makes redish-pinkish. And our mod will not feature shivering isles meshes, so unless you stop by the forums and see our work, you have no room to judge sir.
Yes all we did was change some textures on an already existing armor, but this was so that the rest of the team could see what colors and type of armor we will use, this was more of a concept armor instead of a prototype. You think we would release the good one?

I was judging the quality of this work, as is the intention of the file rating system, not your finished product, for which I have not seen any reference. I do, however, apoligise for my earlier unintentionally condescending attitude, which was unnessecary. I did not realize this was dissimilar to the finished product, because this was not explained in the Readme and the term prototype was not defined. I assumed an in-game context to its usage. You must realize that seeing several of the other mods available on this site, it is natural to assume that recolorings are a widely accepted 'good' mod andthat this one was such an amateurish creation. As you have explained, however, this is not the case, and I hope that you realize my earlier salutation of 'good luck' was not meant any more sarcastically than it is now. So, again, Good luck with your project, and I apoligise for as much as is my fault in this misunderstanding.

We've been restructuring the team and redesigning a lot of the mod from the ground up. For now we're going to make the first part as good as we can make it, so there are no more plans for teasers or prototype releases for now. Theres always Beta's I guess... wink
