About:

The Undernethe is a wide-scale mod project which adds a world far beneath Tamriel. The world is a beautifully cultured and dark place, inhabited by strange monsters and tyrannical governments.

Currently, our team is made up of a handful of skilled individuals, so we need volunteers like you to help us out.

Writers, artists, modders, modellers, texturers, scripters and... just about anyone with good ideas. Visit our forums at http://underdarkproject.easyphpbb.com/index.php


This isn’t the Undernethe, but it’s the next best thing! Featured in this release is:

* Atmospheric caves beneath the ground, featuring a Nethemer village complete with new NPCs!

* An engaging quest which guides you through the new content we’re adding!

* Fearsome new creatures, from the demonic Orthus, to the gigantic beetle-like Shalks and
monstrous Hard Shell Ogres!


* Stunning armour and weapons with impressive new effects and completely new meshes and textures!

* Haunting new music which enables as soon as you enter the exile village!

* Fascinating books which give you an insight into the full world, as well as tell exciting adventures!

* Perfect voice acting for our new NPCs!

Installation Process:

Extract in Oblivion/Data, and enable “Prequel01.esp” in the Oblivion launcher. When you load you game a message should come up informing you of a mysterious cave...

I seem to have a problem,when i load the game..no messege comes up,i wait some more but it doesnt show up.I am very sure that i installed everything correctly,and check the esp in the data files?help!

Legion, you forgot to put in data/Textures/characters/Nethemer/...
Its a quick fix though, just download this and extract to Oblivion/Data...

I have no idea why anyone would get this issue, White Hand Studios beta tested this and it worked perfectly, it must be your oblivion or a mod conflicting with our.

I think I might have a fix and if it doesn't work then there could be a problem with the way your game loads plugins. Try this:

To enter the console, load your saved game and press the ~ key, now type in SetStage 0NethemerQuest 0

If you still do not get a quest update, then try going directly to the cave:
Player.coc NethemerCave

If it still does not work, try downloading another plugin and seeing if that works, if it doesn't then your game has a problem handling ESPs and you better email bethesda smile

For some reason, the screenshots make me think of D&D's Drow. Dunno why, but it looks pretty darn cool.

Oh, and the flaming sword looks awesome! I haven't seen one of those since Tribunal! Ah, good old Trueflame...

#10... it brings up a map marker. You have to walk there... and stuff. If your using OBMM, it might not work properly... we have been having issues with that.... many people have been writing in and telling us that it won't work, and that even the cheats won't make it work, and they all have OBMM...

Maybe something is wrong with the file,i only have a couple of clothes,weapons,armour,and race mods nothing big or anything.and whats is OBMM,i dont have that

OBMM is an acronymn, it stands for oblivion mod manager.
And before we released this plugin we have 3 beta testers and everything worked smoothly except for 1 issue we had documented in which the animtion forgot to be included for the new creatures but that was fixed.

We figured it out finally! As mad griffin said, the file got kinda... chopped up. The real esp is 3.2 meg, the one in the zip is only 7k!confused

ive got these mods runnin cheydinal petshop, frostagspire, horse armor, mehrunes razor, theives den, vile lair, jim simmon duplaganger, knights, oscurs oblivion overall and the prequel is ticked but no message will come up ive tried starting a new campain but nothing can u help?smile

sorry wasnt so great, lasted me 10 minutes.
only 1 npc with voice acting and he was extreamly low talking.

the path to the big door is fairly long, after that the quest doesnt seem to update.
the new monsters are good though, i had a hard time with that giant rihno stalk.

the guards... well everynpc there (using default difficulty) were too easy to kill. 1 hit from my iron long sword lololol.

im looking foward to this mod, needs to be longer. the villiage area needs to be smaller, to give it more atmosphere and ratain the "underground" setting.

also alittle insight or introdution to why and how these npcs got there and why they live there would be awsome!

looking foward to new releases!!!

Indeed, the full mod has a very fetailed collection of lore explaining the Undernethe.

This is not a quest mod, it is a teaser meant to showcase some new creatures, weapons and armour. Please take it for what it is and don't expect a huge detailed teaser with a longwinded quests, if we did that the 'real' mod would never be finished.

Are the nethemer supposed to have dark gray faces and bright purple bodies? I can't seem to find the textures that are supposed to be attached.

You need Shivering isles to play, and I know this because their shield in this mod is the same mesh as the amber shield in SI. I guess you must buy SI
