This mod replaces the old gold coin with a new, improved one. This new one looks like the coin that came w/CE. This is in a self-extracting installation file

VA's Better Gold v2.0

An update to my original Better Gold, this one gives the Septim a new mesh - I added a texture to the edging of the coin and gave the mesh environment mapping so its shiny this time. The mod does nothing else other than replace the gold coin and its icon.


Installation:

Self installer should have extracted everything to your Oblivion\Data folder - the folder paths are correct. If you are a cretin, however, and manage to balls it up somehow, here are the folder paths spelled out for you:

Oblivion\Data\Meshes\va\Clutter\goldcoin01.nif

Oblivion\Data\Textures\Clutter\goldcoin01.dds
Oblivion\Data\Textures\Clutter\goldcoin01_n.dds
Oblivion\Data\Textures\Clutter\goldcoin01_g.dds

Oblivion\Data\Textures\Menus\icons\va\goldcoin.dds

Oblivion\Data\VA_BetterGold.esp


Playing:

Nothing to do... just look out for better, shinier gold coins which should show up better in dark places.

The difference is stunning. Very well done. No real practical purpose but for the eye candy lover, definately a must-have

Well, big improvment, no real point....cause gold is tiny anyway, still nice if you magnify it though, well done stick out tongue

excellent idea, look and mod in general. however, you should change the wording on the back of the coin (it kinda makes no sense) it should read "praise be TO akatosh". miniscule really, but i laways find something to complain about, even with a mod as perfect as this. 9/10 from me, with the hopes of a grammar change wink

Hey! I have an idea.


You see how these coins here are completly new and shiny? well yeah, you coud make it that some are new, old, shiny, and not shiny but i dont care because i dont pay much attentio to this stuff but im dowloading it anyway! (9/10)!! cool
