These wargs are swift as horses and as battle tough as grizzly bears. They are also essential, so even though they may be defeated in battle, they will not die. They are loyal and will seek you out if you become separated.

My review:


This is such a cool inovative mod. I love riding around on my warg, whom I name fluffy. its such a novel, fun idea. Great work on the retextures and new meshes as well. Two Thumbs Up!

Wargs have been man's best friend and his worst enemy. Two of these powerful creatures are waiting to become your mount for speedy travel and your fierce companion in battle.

These wargs are swift as horses and as battle tough as grizzly bears. They are also essential, so even though they may be defeated in battle, they will not die. They are loyal and will seek you out if you become separated.

Installation
------------
1. Extract the archive to Oblivion's Data folder (example: "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\").
2. If prompted, answer Yes to overwrite files/folders.
3. Start Oblivion Launcher. Select Data Files. Select box entitled "WargRiders.esp"
4. Start Oblivion.

Uninstall
---------
To remove this plug-in, delete the following files/folders:

WargRiders.esp
WargRiders Reader.txt
\meshes\WargRiders\
\textures\WargRiders\

Incompatibility:
None known.

too bad if i get on anyother mount, shadowmere will leave me, he gets jeleous like that and thinks im having an afair(yes i am refering to the o so dreaded disappearing shadowmere glitch, the causes are different for everyone, so dont get discouraged from getting this mod by me if you want shadowmere)

otherwise, i would definitely get this. THIS IS SO COOL

Dude if u get on another mount shadowmere will go back to fort farragut so park him in a stable or just go to fort farragut when ur done with the warg, they kinda like like oversized wolves, maybe in a later version make it so u can attack off wargs (pretty please)

I'd like this more if a little bit more effort went in to the model/skin, but code wise it looks pretty good; just not that nice to look at.
But, as for horses, I never really saw a point, faster land travel, but takes longer to engage people on the road, and your Athletics skill doesn't get used. I lost my Shadowmare when I got on the unicorn for the one Shrine Quest, and didn't have him from lvl 20 to 30, I only got him back when I went back to the fort for some weapons a Mod added there.

thanks for telling me#5. When i got on another horse before, shadowmere just started to walk away, and when i got back on him and got off again, he would continue to walk. the same thing happens when he dies. From all the bad stuff ive heard, i assumed that he was disappearing. Also, i had him killed before, and when he got back up, he was walking away. Then when i fast traveled and went to the towns, he didnt show up at the stables even though the message saying that he was stabled still came up. So he dissapeared from me once before after dying. I was lucky that the game went back to normal after exiting oblivion and reloading the game. Im wondering if i should risk it again....

actually now that i think about how the game works, i think everyone who's shadowmere was returned to fort farragut actually did make their shadowmere disappear. Since because Shadowmere is an essential character, he will be respawned at his origin (fort farragut) after one in game week

I agree with Vincent, I too would love to see the Hyena looking Wargs that they had in LotR wink

Nice job though Two Thumbs Up!

The only other things I think would make riding horses/wargs better, would be like #5 said: make it possible to attack with swords / bows / spells / etc while mounted, and also to be able to trample / knock down people and creatures that happen to be caught in the path of your steed. big grin

This is the coolest mount mod there is for oblivion, try to use it with the sauron armor mod, looks pretty strange, but very cool!!!

I have a couple suggestions.

1. Have the warg return to the cloud temple once you switch to a different ride. I haven't seen the one I was using since I lost track of it.

2.maybe find a jump motion for it? just a thought, it might make it look smoother.

3. #4 is right it would be could if the warg could attack without you having to get off.

Overall this is very nice. ^_^ I look forward to the next revision or mod you come up with.

looks interesting though. Got a Question. will this mod work with mod work with the servant of the dawn mod??? because cloud ruler temple is currently under the control of the mythic dawn and they reopened the portal to paradise.

Well as far as i know, the "Deadly Reflex" Mod allows you to do mounted combat. << If its not on this site, head over to planetelderscrolls.com. (note: I do not mean this as an advertisement, just answering the questions of several people with an easy answer) if you get this though, you MUST have the Oblivion Script Extender
