Working Gate - File Description  

This mod take's the big openable gate from the Cloud Ruler Temple and replaces Skingrad's gate with it so it opens. Making it open like gates are meant to (not just a sound with a black screen). This is still pretty much a work in progress but hopefully we should see this incorporated in other cities shortly. Some have mentioned that this would be perfect for the Open Cities mod, but we haven't heard anything so we should jump to conclusions.

Reviews on this site are going down the drain. Many of them are quotes of the readme, and ones that aren't can't be understood!

I couldn't understand parts of this review.
Making it open like gates are meant to (not just a sound with a black screen).
but we haven't heard anything so we should jump to conclusions.

LOL ya seriously they are doing free work and the small mistakes they make can be thought out easily. so don't be flaming the people who are working at the site please. But if you think you can do better you are always free to start your own website... please let me get the website web you do this...

anyway sounds like a good mod, and yes this would go good with open citys so that there would still be a gate infront of the citys

We'll be integrating the working gates into Open Cities as the other city gates are released. Already tested this gate in Skingrad and it works great smile.

Cool, when the OpenCities mod has all the gates in place then I'll start my character anew and have it running from day one.

As for the flaming guy - get your head out of your*****! The tiny mistakes are easily figured out (unless you're thick?). They basically saying it's better than having to drop to a loading screen (ie: they work like the gates on the Cheydinhal House garden) and that we shouldn't jump to conclusions (they just forgot the "not" part).

Anyways, cool mod, can't wait for complete integration into OpenCities. big grin

I was a reviewer once, and I understand the effort that goes into it, but you guys could really do better. The fact that you volunteer doesn't mean to get to make mistakes. It's still a job and should be done to the best of your ability. This is not directed at anyone, it is a general statement: If the best of your ability doesn't meet par, use available tools. When I was a reviewer I remember using dictionary.com many times to make sure I had spelled a word right, or used it correctly. I also read over my reviews mulitpled times to make sure I had no mistakes.

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just saying that the reviewers here could do better.

For skunky isnt there a portcullis in Kvatch? or is that 1 the type that can only be opened by switch? Still worth a shot
