| Wright Manor (1.0) - File Description |
 |
Description:
Ever desired a place to escape from the hustle and bustle of those big cities like Balmora or Vivec? Ever wanted a small manor house out in the sparsely-populated wilderness? Does comfort and wealthy living suit your style? If any of this strikes your fancy, or at least your curiosity, then the Wright Manor is your destination!
South of Vos, Wright Manor is the perfect place for those who are tired of being cramped amongst the majority of Vvardenfell's population, but without having to live in a dingy tent, dank cave, or in a Telvanni tower. The manor in total consists of two buildings: the Manor House and the Guest House.
The guest house is beautifully built in the Nordic-style, but with all the Imperial touches of living. Finely furnished, even for a guest house, it alone would make a suitable home for the average character. The resident of the guest house, a female Bosmer assassin, is very friendly and willing to teach you the tricks of her trade. For a price, of course.
But the real prize is the Manor House: a fine example of Imperial architecture and wealth. Fine woodwork adorn the walls with tapestries, Limeware and Silver pieces lay upon every table, ready to entertain the most important guests. A carved fireplace keeps the house a comfort temperature in all seasons. Plenty or storage and shelf space allows you to store your goods and show off your most prized possessions.
Outside, a lantern upon a wooden post will guide you to the manor from the dirt path. A well sits outside the two houses, which are contained by a fence to one side, a stone wall to the other, and the roped entry way. Wood has recently been split for the fireplace; neatly stacked beside the guest house. Two practice dummies sit beside the manor house, awaiting whatever punishment you give them. Lastly, say hello to the Guar that lives outside. He's a friendly man, and will hang around however long you let him.
The location is perfect: off the beaten path but not too far from civilization for any needs you have. The houses are painstakingly crafted and designed for the most important Imperial. What isn't there to love? If this sounds like the living your character would enjoy then download the Wright Manor mod, created by AngelBobMD, and set out to spend your days in lavish comfort!

The Elder Scrolls III Morrowind
"Wright Manor" House Mod
Version 1

1: Installation/"Un-installation"
===========================================================
To install, simply drag and drop the plugin into your data
files folder. Molto bene, you're set to play.
To uninstall, just remove the plugin. Eh, bein.
===========================================================
2: Playing
===========================================================
Open the Morrowind Launcher, and check the "Wright Manor" plugin file. Then just play!
Wright Manor is located just over the hill to the south of Vos. From Vos or Tel Vos, simply go south over said hill. It's slightly south east of the local Egg Mine.
If you're approaching from the south, follow the dirt path that winds toward Vos. Branch to the right toward the egg mine, and you should see a tall wooden pole with a lantern hanging off of it. Go to this and follow the roped-off path. This will take you right to the Manor and Guest House.
The mod includes:
Wright Manor: A large house in the Imperial style. It's fully furnished with the best and most expensive furnishings. A full set of Imperial Armor is shelved, giving a hint to a possible backstory.
Guest House: The guest house is built in the Nordic style, but well furnished. It contains an NPC, who is an Assassin trainer. Her presence, along with a good pile of gold, is another hint at a possible backstory. Note: she will ignore a player's vampirism, so you can still use her services and have some pleasant company.
Outside: Around the two houses are various details. First is a guar, semi-domesticated, to give companionship (he's not actually a companion in any way, he just likes the Wickwheat). There's also two combat dummies and a well nearby.
There's no "intended" backstory to this, so you can think of it however you like. Take the well-kept but vacant manor and the skilled assassin in the guest house any way you'd like.

3: Compatability
===========================================================
As far as I know, this should be compatable with most mods out there. Anything that modifies textures or art files used by the game may interfere with the mod, as well as anything that modifies the original game data. But, as this is made from a plain Morrowind, it should be compatable with most anything out there. *knocks on wood*
This doesn't require Bloodmoon or Tribunal to run. All you need is a working Morrowind file.

4: Final Notes

Thank you to Bethesda, for making the Elder Scrolls series and giving us the Construction Set to do this sort of thing with.
My Email is "TemplarMerchant720@Gmail.com" (without quotes), if you have any questions, comments, or any suggestions.
If for whatever reason you want to include this in any of your own projects, just please send me an email to tell me. I'll gladly let you. (Heck, I'd be honored.)
And a special thank you for downloading this! | |
