Oblivion Cheats
Console menu functions
While in the game, hit the tilde key [~] at any time to bring up the console. With the console open, there are multiple commands that can be used, some that require targeting by selecting an object with the mouse while the console is open.
Click any human or creature, type "kill"
Instant kills
Click a locked door or chest, type "unlock"
Unlocks target object
Without targeting, type "tgm"
God Mode

Adds the desired amount of gold. Replace the 'XXX' with the amount wanted.

gives you # of item 00000000 (use other hex combinations for items)

gives you spell 00000000 (use other hex combinations for spells)
modpcs skill 100
adds 100 points to the skill
modpca luck 100
adds 100 pointsto an attribute (here luck)
player.setlevel 1
Changes player level to desired number. Use 1-255
advlevel
forces a level up with the levelup screen.
advskill skill #
Forces a skill level up of # levels, example: advskill blade 4
showclassmenu
Allows you to change your class
Showbirthsignmenu
Allows you to change your birthsign

Teleports you to your quest target (for lazy bums) makes the game ALOT shorter >

Posts: 134 | Seriously it's a single player game and some cheats are rather fun to use.Just cause someone cheats on a single player game,doesn't mean their not good at the game at all.Did you think maybe they already beat the game and want to play it again with something different? |

Posts: 1 | i have been playing this game sense it has come out and beat it 3 times and have been using mods and cheats for a very long time... and yet i have no idea how you "Target" so i cant use some of the really cool cheats that add some realizm to the game like Lock so i can lock doors and stuff... could someone tell me how to "target" because i have tryed putting the name of the object after the cheat.. looked at it... nothing seems to work |

Posts: 1 | yeah my tilde key isnt working either. i tried double tapping the tilde key, ctrl+alt+~, all kinds of other crazy things. Wut really ticks me off is that it works elsewhere. is the game in any way protected from cheating? If so, lemme know. ty. |

Posts: 442 | I also had this problem for a while, then on the UESP wiki I found out that the remote control reciever on my computer (windows media edition) was interfering with Oblivion's software. Before you start the game up, pull out the reciever from the USB port, then start up the game, press `, and the console opens. This is how I solved my problem, I hope it can solve yours  . |

Posts: 1 | hey i had that problem with ilde too i have a media center y HP it has got an infrared attachment for the remote i read somewhere that taking it of would make the tilde to work again well i did and it works again so i suggest you look for everything you dont need when playing oblivion that is connected to your computer and take it off ,if that doesnt help you should try to get a keypad remapper from somewhere thats what helped me with doing some stuff in NWN 1 but anyway, I hope my advice helped.. |

Posts: 17 | Sometimes after Shadowmare wakes up, he begins to slowly walk away, to stop this, jump on him and quick transport to a location; this fixes him. Also, be careful not to get onto a regular horse, this messes up your “tie” to Shadowmare, and is a good way to accidentally lose him (not sure where he defaults to).
If you loose shadowmere, he usually defaults to the general area of the Dark brotherhood castle where you finish the quests. He can go as far back as Cheydinhal though... in any direction. |

Posts: 2 | I don't know if anyone has ever said. But here's a useful tip.
When typing an ID, remove excess 0's starting left.
eg. - 000000F is the ID for gold. you only have to type F for the command.
So it should appear like this;
player.additem F 1000
That will give 1000 gold. |
