Dark Elf
Dark Elves are the dark-skinned Elven peoples of the Eastern Empire. "Dark" is variously understood to mean "dark-skinned," "gloomy," and "ill-favored by fate." The Dunmer and their national character embrace these various connotations with enthusiasm. In the Empire, "Dark Elves" is the common usage, but in their Morrowind homeland, and among their Aldmeri brethren, they call themselves the "Dunmer". The dark-skinned, red-eyed Dark Elves combine powerful intellect with strong and agile physiques, producing superior warriors and sorcerers. On the battlefield, Dark Elves are noted for their skilled and balanced integration of swordsmen, marksmen, and war wizards. In character, they are grim, aloof, and reserved, distrusting and disdainful of other races.

Posts: 1 | In Morrowind, the game takes place in Vvardenfell, which is indeed, an island. The expansion of Mournhold allows you to travel to the mainland. |

Posts: 1171 | Technicaly, Mournhold is the name of older part of the city - burried under the new one, which was founded by Almalexia. So. Mournhold should be named as Almalexia just as Vivec's city is just Vivec. |

(they kind of have a mixture of American and Aztec Indian cultures in them) |

Posts: 5 | Personally, the Dark Elf is my favorite race for me since my first ever character was one. In my experience they're very good for both fighters and mages, though I tend not to dress my Dark Elf in armor as I would my Nord, she fights well none-the-less. Their resistance to fire is a helpful trait as well, as is the ancestor's ghost they can summon. Dark Elves work well for the type of character I wish to create, as a possible necromancer, their dark and mysterious aura adds to that character, though some just look like giant smurfs depending on how you create them. |
