my distant graphics for buildings look that bad also, as if the buildings were made of cardboard, but i have all my settings maxed out. If theres a way to improve this, i would sure like to know, But what i do already have is a 2048x2048 distant LOD terrain mod. That was a huge improvement over the vanilla 1024x1024, but it didnt effect the buildings whatsoever...frown

I have an Nvidia GeFroce 7600GST PCI-E. My game has settings maxed out and it only really lags slightly in combat.

If you want your graphics to look pretty decent, and you have a crap Graphics card, you should check out the "Oldblivion" mod. It is a tool, which allows you to have really nice graphics, but it removes some shaders I believe. Worth checking it out smile

PS - Screen is OK, though not all that funny or interesting.

I have a GeForce 6200 and Oblivion runs well enough. Only things I have off is grass and shadows (and anti-aliasing).

I voted 10 for this pic, it's hilarious smile

#5 delta basically graphics look crap at distance because oblivion still decided to keep low level gfx on max settings to please those noobs who have crap specs but still want the boasting power of running it on max settings. If u want to unlock ALL graphics beauty then dont install natural habitats cos it only makes the game brighter, but look on internet for numbers to change in the game's notepad where all settings ur found, cos some gd details are set to 0 (meaning not on) and set em to 1 n stuff.
That shud make ur game look amazin

I have everything maxed (including AA), except for a few things. Water ripples are off, and well when i say maxed out its more like 4/5 of the way up on all sliders. which is pretty good, soon ill have 2 gigs of ram though to go with my 7600gt. So it should run all high fine big grin I CANT WAIT. Anyway... god this has turned into a rig discussion thread..lol Nice pic, GFX suck but i get the caption. 6/10

Yea I already had a couple of INI tweaks on my own, but i havent tried to fully explore it yet. As for going up to 2 gigs, as long as you had one gig, it doesnt really improve your frame rate, only makes the loading time slightly shorter. Believe me, I would know...

i have 2gigs already at loading times are OKish but good. INI tweaks can make ur game amazing if u push it far but be careful cos a few features can't be put to 1 so it can mess up some of ur other gfx. this is a note to all u noobs out there: MAKE A BACKUP DAMNIT

Do you think i put up the POTD only to pay out patrick stuart (who is awesome). First and foremost it's a JOKE! I'm not paying anyone out on purpose. If you are offended by this picture and caption then i am deeply sorry.

Patrick Stewart is the guy who plays the professor in X-Men. In Oblivion, his role is the voice of the late emperor (the one who dies at the start). Patrick stewart has also played roles in star trek, Chicken Little, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, and various others. He's an awesome bloke who deserves nothing but credit! big grin
Does that answer your question?
